NH Farm to Restaurant Connection

Announces

2007 Growers Dinner Series

The NH Farm to Restaurant Connection is pleased to announce the fourth season of New Hampshire Growers’ Dinners.  Growers’ Dinners are promotional events where all, or most of the foods offered are produced in New Hampshire. Chefs create special dishes that feature the products of selected New Hampshire farmers and food producers.

The NH Farm to Restaurant Connection is a collaboration of an ever-growing group of organizations and individuals, including chefs and farmers (the organization was recognized by NH Magazine with a 2006 Best of New Hampshire Award in the Perfect Partnership category).  The goal of the NH Farm to Restaurant Connection is to link New Hampshire producers of food and farm products with New Hampshire restaurants.

The Growers’ Dinner event is a way introduce chefs and farmers to each other and build awareness of the great variety of NH products available, setting the stage for continued and expanded purchasing of locals foods long after the dinner event is over. The growers’ dinner is also a way to feature local foods to restaurant patrons and help them make the connection between the food on the plate and the farms across our state.

The 2007 series gets underway this month at Mise en Place in Wolfeboro. On June 27 Chef/Owners Siobhan McGee and Terry Adrignola will be offering a delightful summer meal featuring seasonal New Hampshire produce and meats.

Procuring local products is at the core of the Mise en Place philosophy and Chefs McGee and Adrignola have well-established relationships with local farmers. For more information about the June 27 menu or to make reservations, contact Mise en Place directly at 569-5788.
